At Incredible Smiles, Our team provides care for you during each stage of your life. From children to adults, we welcome every member of your family to our clinic. If you or a member of your family are missing teeth, you know how devastating it can be. You may not be able to eat your favourite foods. Perhaps you feel like you don’t want to smile in photos. We want to help you regain your confidence and show off a beautiful appearance again.
Once you have had a dental implant surgically placed and a healing period has passed, you can see our team to have your implant restored. We’ll affix a crown, bridge or denture to your implant to complete your procedure.

Advantages of Dental Implants

In years past, dentures were the standard treatment for tooth replacement. Since the development of dental implants, it has taken over as the most natural-looking and functional solution.
Implants look, feel and work like natural teeth and are designed as a permanent solution to tooth loss that can last 20 to 30 years with good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups.
Whether you’re missing a single tooth, several teeth or all your teeth, dental implants can transform your quality of life in terms of appearance, oral functionality, and self-confidence.

The many advantages of dental implants include:

Are Dental Implants Right For You?

The first step in determining if you can have a dental implant is to book a consultation. We’ll examine you to determine if you qualify for treatment. If so, we will refer you to an oral surgeon to have the procedure. Diagnostics such as x-rays will help us determine whether you can have an implant.

In cases where patients do not have adequate bone material in their jaw to receive the implant. Bone grafting is considered to ensure that the implant has correct spacing. We’ll also discuss any medical conditions you might have and whether it’s a contraindication to having a dental implant.

How Long Does It Take To Recover From Dental Implants?

After your dental implant has been placed by a surgeon, the site must heal. This process can take up to a few months. Once the implant has been accepted into the jawbone like the root of a natural tooth, we can place a crown, bridge or denture on it. If you are replacing a single tooth, a crown will be most appropriate. Multiple teeth can be replaced by bridges or dentures.
As we utilise the latest innovative digitally guided technology which allows us to minimise the pain associated with getting dental implants. You may experience some bruising or swelling after the treatment, but this will be temporary until the region recovers. Typically if you only receive one or two implants and did not receive bone or tissue grafts, recovery can take place in as little as 1-2 days.
You may be advised by our team of dentists to eat soft foods and we will probably suggest over-the-counter medications for you such as ibuprofen.
